On Saturday, May 30, 2026, the Military Technical Museum Lešany will launch its 31st visitor season with a “Military Readiness Day for Children.” The rich program will offer competitive stations, displays of historical and contemporary military equipment, presentations by the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic and military history clubs, as well as exciting rides in selected vehicles.

Association at the 2026 Defense Readiness Conference. The Creation of the Active Reserve of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic Examined by Historians for the First Time!
Representatives of the Association of Military History of the Czech Republic attended the “Faces of Defense Readiness” conference, organized by the Military History Institute Prague. During the opening, Minister of Defense Jaromír Zůna highlighted the importance of civic responsibility and volunteer associations for the state’s defense capability. Our Association was the initiator and partner of the final panel titled “22 Years of the Active Reserve of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic,” which, according to the event organizers, was the most spirited of all. Speakers included Pavel Mücke from the Military History Institute Prague, Brigadier General Petr Svoboda from the Territorial Forces of the Czech Armed Forces, and Radek Hauerland from the Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic.
